Update to Northern Games site

40th Northern Games date set

The dates for the 40th Annual Northern Games have been set for August 6 - 9, 2009 in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Canada. The northerngames.org site has been updated to reflect this change.

Final sports online

The knuckle hop, airplane and sledge jump pages have been completed are now online. More photos have also been posted to the Facebook page.

More games, another video and Facebook

The one-hand reach, bench reach and Alaskan high kick pages have been completed and are all online now.

A video of the knuckle hop has been added to the multimedia page and a Facebook page has been created for the Northern Games. Several photos from the 2000 Northern Games have been added to the Facebook site.

Northern Games on Wikipedia

I found Wikipedia entries for the two-foot high kick and the blanket toss. Pretty interesting stuff and got me thinking, is there anyone out there that wants to add the other games to Wikipedia? This would a good idea and would also ensure technical and historical accuracy.

More games online

The pages for the Good Woman/Man, head pull, arm pull, one-foot high kick, two-foot high kick, kneel jump and musk-ox wrestling are now available online. There will be more games made available over the next couple of days.
